Materials & Method
What's under the shingle decides how long the roof lasts. We use synthetic underlayment over ice-and-water shield in valleys, starter strips at every eave and rake (not cut-up field shingles), and ring-shank nails driven to the right depth. Class 4 impact-rated shingles knock 20–35% off most homeowner premiums in Houston — a detail many roofers don't mention.
